You Have a Choice: You Can Die Slow and Painfully, Losing Your Ability to do the Things You Want, or You Can Remain Active and Enjoy Life Right Up Until the End!
Did you know that once you hit 40, time and your body start to turn against you?
At 40, your body starts to degenerate in all of its parts including muscles, bones, joints, arteries, veins, brain function, etc. You may not notice it right away, but it happens. Here’s one example of proof.
A research study conducted by a group of Dallas scientists looked at a group of 5 men when they were 20, and then again when they were 50. During the 30 year time span, their average weight gain was 50 pounds, they all showed decreased circulatory function, they were weaker and less flexible. These were all very healthy men at age 20. So, were the changes they experienced due primarily to aging or was there another factor? Let’s come back to this in a moment.
For those of you under 40, take note. 40 is just an average. If you are 30, severely overweight, and living a sedentary lifestyle, guess what? You are in the same boat as the 40 year old, and maybe even the 50 year old.
So, what can you do about it? The answer, as more and more doctors and scientists are finding out is, drum roll please……….EXERCISE! Exercise is the one thing you can commit to that will all but assure you a longer and healthier life. Here is a graph that will show you how exercise will help you to live a longer life and enjoy it at the same time:

As you can see, when you do not exercise your rate of decay is much quicker. This lends to the increased possibility of developing aches and pains, arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, balance loss, etc. When these things happen you lose your ability to enjoy life. You will decrease your rate of decay with exercise and subsequently reduce your risk for the aforementioned diseases.
Remember those men from the Dallas scientist study mentioned above. Well, prior to the study, none of the men exercised very frequently. The lack of activity started to wear on their bodies. When the scientists started all five men on a 8-month gradual exercise program, all five lost over 10 pounds, and returned their resting heart rates, blood pressures, and heart pumping capability to the same levels they were when they were 20 years old. Additionally all of them increased their endurance to that of when they were 30 years old.
All of those “magic pills” you hear about for various diseases or problems (yes, the same ones that cause you other problems when you take them), cannot replace the value of exercise. But don’t take our word for it. Search Google or any other search engine for “benefits of exercise” and you will get a million more links providing all the details.
Or you can just go ahead, ignore this advice, live life the way you are, and watch as you slowly deteriorate, lose function, suffer more ailments, and stop enjoying life because of all these problems before you finally die.
